I've been trying to get Sean's libxml code running on Win2K, but extconf.rb
tells me I need zlib.
While I apparently have assorted zlib fles installed (as part of various other
applications, not the least of which is Ruby itself, version 1.7, from the
PragProg installation), there doesn't seem to be a way to tell extconf about
this.

Compiling zlib from source hasn't worked for me, either.  Same for trying to
build libxml2.
I haven't gotten to libm yet.

Has anybody gotten libxml, and all it's required parts, built and playing nice
with the PragProg Windows version of Ruby?

I realize that, for many people, Windows is a radioactive death zone to be
avoided at all costs, but at the end of the day any tool proposed as a general
solution for an intrinsic Ruby task (i.e., package or documentation management)
has to be easy to install and use there.

(And yes, if anybody wants me to beta test their stuff on Windows, I'll be glad
to do it.)
