You can either call Ruby code from C or call C functions from Ruby; the
"Extending Ruby" Chapter of the Programming Ruby book
(http://www.rubycentral.com/book/ext_ruby.html) has some information on
how to do either.

As I develop code in Linux, I don't know the exact configurations using
Visual C++.
