Here's the full script.  This one was written against the Pg DBD.  When
the "fail" is triggered, the INSERT will be rolled back, as expected.

db = DBI.connect("DBI:Pg:junk", "jim")

first, last = ARGV

  db['AutoCommit'] = false
  db.transaction {
