 1.6.1 has a new flag SCOPE_DONT_RECYCLE, and you have probably this error
because in this case :

  ruby_scope->flag = SCOPE_ALLOCA | SCOPE_DONT_RECYCLE;

 ruby in top_local_setup() test only against SCOPE_ALLOCA

	    if (i == 0 || ruby_scope->flag == SCOPE_ALLOCA) {

 this can perhaps explain the error in realloc()
