I am sorry, I know the code below is just an example.  But will I be
correct if I write

    while gets
        next if /^\s*#/             # Skip comments
        parseLine unless /^\s*$/    # Don't parse blank lines
    end

?  Or are there other cases, beside the =begin and =end blocks?
