I am sure that in the near future that a VisualRuby product should become
feasable as acceptance and adoption grows. I know I could do with a PerlCtrl
equivalent for Ruby. I could then easily use Visual Basic for quick gui
construction and place all my serious code into a Ruby based DLL, after all
it is very difficult to write serious code in VB :-)) unless youre happy
with bloatware, but then some of us dont have a choice as managers fall for
marketing rather using the right tool to do the job, ive just been through a
hell project that could have been reduced five fold if I was able to use
Perl, Python or Ruby, next time I might just keep it quiet form those above
me, after all they will just see an exe :-)

This is still true. Or though I'll say immediate roadmap. We will ceratinly
look at doing a VisualRuby if the market seems to be there to justify it. 
I'm a developer on our other Visual products ( Visual Perl, Python etc ).

Only in that it has syntax highlighting for Ruby. I've hacked a version 
of Debugger.rb that enables it to connect to Komodo's GUI debugger 
interface. I'm hoping to be able to demo this at rubyconf in November.
