- - caulk board, now there's a design metaphor. Writing out your
design in lines of sticky white goo that becomes difficult to
remove in half an hour. Man, that sounds a lot like some of the
projects I've worked on.

- - Sorry, I just couldn't resist... that image has burned into
my brain. I know you meant chalk, but caulk board could catch
on as an anti-pattern like "spagetti code".
