I had a look at the CVS version of Ruby-Wise, but I don't see a relation 
between Ruby-Wise and a window manager, it seems more like a graphical 
toolkit to me (a very promising one nonetheless).

IMHO Ruby desktop != Ruby window manager (although Ruby desktop was the 
topic of the original thread).

A Ruby window manager would probably be simpler than an entire desktop, 
something like the Ruby equivalent of:
