That's the point. I guess you don't have any problem of equivalence with your language (in this case, English). Natural languages have so many equivalence. They even encourage alternatives. The existence of thesaurus is a good proof. Then, why equivalences in the artificial langauge bothers you? In my opiniton, the bit amount in your brain saved by eliminating equivalence is next to nothing.
