I'd like rpkg to help in this. I am designing it around the concept of `well formed' or `policy compliant' package. The policy I'm using right now for the Ruby dist states that a package is made up of one or more directories chosen from ['bin', 'lib', 'doc', 'ext', 'test']. The content of each gets copied on the end users' system according to a configuration specified by the users themselves (so you can have a completely user managed package base, no need to bug Mr. root). If we can agree that rdoc generated class documentation is held in "doc/foo/html" or "doc/foo/ri", then it will be a trivial matter to add: rpkg doc foo or: rpkg ri foo Massimiliano
