Subject: XBase and Ruby

Hello all.  I am a new to Ruby, and am looking for a way to read and modify
XBase database files (*.dbf) in a way similar to the Perl DBD:XBase module.
I would like to access the files as database records, instead of parsing it
as a flat file (which is possible, but makes it much more likely I'll
corrupt the files in the process.)  Does anything like this currently exist?
