From: Rich Kilmer Date: 2002-08-28T12:07:28+09:00 Subject: RE: Ruby developers: help push RPKG development and usage forward!!(it is like CPAN.pm, only Ruby) You can just install it in another directory and then go to that directory to start Ruby or just replace your 1.6.7 installation...up to you. I have been running 1.7.x for six months on Win32 and Linux. Bugs pop up now and then, but nothing major (from my perspective). -rich > -----Original Message----- > From: Tom Sawyer [mailto:transami@transami.net] > Sent: Tuesday, August 27, 2002 10:01 PM > To: ruby-talk ML > Subject: RE: Ruby developers: help push RPKG development and > usage forward!!(it is like CPAN.pm, only Ruby) > > > On Tue, 2002-08-27 at 19:32, Rich Kilmer wrote: > > Notice...pure Ruby...no C...dynamically loading and calling .dlls. > > > > Cool eh? > > > > And it is part of Ruby 1.7.2 (in CVS). > > > > -Rich Kilmer > > i think i want to try it now. can i install 1.7.2 along side > 1.6.7? or is it stable enough now that i should just dump the > old version?
