 Just to give you an example, bdb is tested against these libraries of
 Berkeley DB

pigeon% ls -d db[2-4]*
db2.4.14/  db3.0.55/  db3.1.17/  db3.2.9/   db4.0.14/
db2.7.7/   db3.1.14/  db3.1.5/   db3.3.11/  db4.1.16/
pigeon% 

 You really want that I put a binary version for *all* these versions of
 Berkeley DB and this for linux, *bsd, solaris, windows, ... ?
