Right, that was done by one of the developers of Ruby (Shugo Maeda). Note however, that he knows - and uses - internal Ruby stuff that is nowhere to be found in the documentation (e.g. usage of ruby_init_loadpath() and rb_eval_string_protect()). My point being that, yes Ruby (and Perl) is being used in some cases as an embedded language, but that's not because in those instances people simply picked up the documentation and started hacking. There simply is not enough information available in the docs for that. Regards, Paul
