Someone else did see this happen on July 10, I think. Is there any programmatic way to catch possible glitches? (I'm fairly ignorant of mail/news headers.) Like detect a message having a header referring to another message we've never seen? > > But: Would it be useful to write some stats to a web page -- like > > how many messages were passed in each direction today? > > Would that be helpful? Oh, I'd check it at times. But that's just me. But if you did do such a thing, you could perhaps even list and ID the messages and maybe even hyperlink them. Add a line of Javascript to refresh it every N minutes, and your monitor can be purely web-based (and perhaps save a few bytes of RAM and some CPU cycles). Maybe worth the time, maybe not. Hal Fulton
