Normally I think, every language should have a unique name. But it
seems, that the other Ruby is as unknown as our one. So perhaps as
our Ruby is not a product, we can use that name now. But should the
other Ruby becomes widely known, it would cause several mistakes, if
we mention our Ruby in e.g. books!

But there could be a solution... Let me have a look... <graps his
dictionary> and <flap flap flap> yeah!!!

In Japanese `ruby' will be written... `rubi'; perfect :-))))

So perhaps we could use the Japanese form, if it is necessary. I
think that would be better than to give matz' child a totally new
name. Please consider, I don't vote for renaming, but perhaps it
will become necessary?!?

For what? We have to thank YOU, that you have found such possible
conflict. If we decide to ignore it, at least we do it by decision
and not by lacking knowledge! So later, no surprise can raise up.
