An update...

I was just in Odakyu (large department store in Tokyo) at Shinjuku
Station.  There is a fairly large selection of computer books on the 4th
floor.

There were a number of Ruby books there, including several "256 Ruby
Windows Programs", "256 Ruby Delphi Programs", or something like that.
A number of these "256" books.  There was an entire shelf of Ruby books,
unfortunately I don't read Japanese... :(

If your relatives head to Odakyu at Shinjuku Station and find the
computer books section (in the south or west tower of Odakyu where they
sell appliances, computers and electronics) they can't go wrong.

A side note - just for giggles I asked to see books on Python, and there
was only a single book on Python in Japanese (none in English) and it
was the O'Rielly book and only one on the shelf.

On another note, I am now the proud owner of a refrigerator and a
washer/drier for my new house/apartment in Tokyo.

Are there any English speaking Ruby people or Unix systems types here in
Tokyo interested in "networking" a bit?  I'm new in town and will be
relocating permanently after the 8th of July.
