This is almost a UNIX FAQ ;). You can either:

1) Add the path to your FX lib to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable, or

2) Find a way to add "-R/path/to/lib" to the LDFLAGS variable in the
   package you're trying to build, and recompile.

#2 is better, #1 is quicker.
