I decided to announce a new release just in time for the soccer world cup 2002. What is it? GSL is the GNU Scientific Library, a collection of routines for numerical computing. ruby-gsl is a wrapper to be able to use those functions in Ruby. Changes in 0.1.6 - included new functions from GSL 1.1 - new constants for Const - more random number generators - polynomial interpolation - divided difference representation of polynomials - statistics for Hist, Hist2D - combinations - shuffling and sampling in RND - small fixes in Coulomb, Chebyshev, Permutation - more examples Get it from the RAA: http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/raa-list.rhtml?name=ruby-gsl So long Arno --- Arno Erpenbeck University of Osnabrueck
