If you stay on the 1.6.x versions, it isn't too bad. From what I've
heard on the forum for it (and from a friend who uses it alot), the
1.8.x version(s) introduce wierd bugs that aren't caught by the tests
for CppUnit itself.

But then having to compile the unittests before running them is kinda
'miserable' just the same :-)
