Subject: Compiling Ruby on OpenIndiana

Hello all,
I tried compiling Ruby tarball source on OpenIndiana, but got a error
saying "./configure: line 2780: syntax error at line 19075: `('
unexpected"
when I tried to run "./configure".
I was able to compile same source on Ubuntu?
What is wrong there? Any clue of how to overcome this?
