Subject: DBI access to mysql auto_increment record numbers?

How do you get the auto_increment record number for mysql in 
ruby/dbi/mysql?

I know how to do this from the MM JDBC java driver, but don't see anything 
similar in ruby's dbi_mysql. Hope someone can help.
