Well, this is a tad embarassing. Somehow (?) I've been unsubscribed from
ruby-talk, and I don't know how. But the interesting thing, and perhaps
what all the unsubscribe chatter is about -- from the mailing sign up
form at http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/community/mailing-lists/ , after
entering my info and submitting the form, I got a 405 Not Allowed error
page from nginx.

Now, as to why I am suddenly unsubscribed...
