First, I'll apologize in advance to the RubyEclipse people for pushing my
own project in their message thread...

You should keep an eye on the FreeRIDE project (www.rubyide.org). FreeRIDE
is a Ruby IDE that will have all of those wonderful code-assist features you
use in JBuilder, as well as some even more impressive ones found in IntelliJ
IDEA, and some other high-end features not yet available in any IDE.
FreeRIDE is being developed in Ruby by (obviously) Ruby developers and
intends to have good support for those idioms that unique to Ruby.

Originally, I had planned to develop an Eclipse plugin for Ruby, but other
Ruby people in the FreeRIDE project (before it was even called FreeRIDE)
convinced me to go for an all Ruby IDE. We haven't yet made a first release
(we're trying to get a solid framework in place first), but we intend to
release initial versions that are simple and then incrementally, and
frequently ass additional capability.
