here,

$browser.windows.each {|w| w.close rescue nil}
$browser.close rescue nil

But it is not closing the window as you told there.

My problem is, when i pressing the next button the pop up is opening in 
a new window.I used above code of yours, but it's not working.
what should I do to handle that pop up?
