Oops, I had a broken line in there.

This:
ruby_XL.send( self.class.to_sym, self.index ,ruby_XL )

Doesn't cause an error anymore if changed to this:
ruby_XL.send( self.class.name[/row|column/i].downcase.to_sym, self.index 
)
