Should I really be doing this sort of thing just to be able to differentiate between bang and non-bang methods? Would my time be better spent trying to find a way of returning a seperate instance of the class without modifying the current one? I did consider doing something like modifying a local variable, passing it to the "load" method of a new instance, then returning that new instance; but it seemed a rather long-winded method, and I think I'd have to rewrite all the methods around it. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
