After a while, you'd never hear from them again, and all they left was an abandoned GitHub page. So when someone gets all enthusiastic about how cool and creative programming is, it smells a bit of this lifestyle stuff. We are no "rock stars", "code heroes", "artists" or whatever, just programmers -- or maybe engineers, like Robert said.
