Subject: BUG! Platform independent? sockets and select

Hi!

I've a big problem.
I've chosen ruby to work with.
But now I think it was a Bad Idea.
Under windows my program doesn't work, as it works under linux.
It just uses select with sockets, and threads.
But for my question nobody answers: Oh, we don't know about this bug
or yes we know about that bug, or even it is not a bug.
