Hi!

I have again and again problems with sockets and select.

1. The select command is not correct, if a handle is in it more, than
   one times.
   Ok, ok, you may answer it is just a wrap around a C code, but who
   cares? People want fault-tolerant solutions, don't they?

2. I write a program, it is quite simple a program (yet).
   I've tested it under linux (debian/woody), it works.
   I've tested it under windows98 and NT. It doesn't work :(
   Especially, when a client connects, the servers select method returns
   always with an empty or nil array (My code displays then a
   ":(" sign), and this happens 10-20 times / sec, while my select
   defines 10 sec timeout. How can it be?
