Not usually. It ships on a case-insensitive/ case-preserving file system.
Many of us who develop on it have learned that you need a case insensitive
partition to avoid having to do penance for the sins of our predecessors.

Ugh! You hit a sore point. On a case-sensitive file system, case
dependencies will creep into any large project. No one will know they are
there until someone tries to port the code. Darwin itself had case
dependencies until recently.
