Am I missing something? I think it does, but as a relative newcomer to Ruby, I'm pretty sure not everyone understands that that is the convention. I don't recall off hand that it was mentioned in the Pickaxe book or the Ruby Way. On an unrelated matter, the case sensitivity of file names has more to do with implementation details of the file system than than with whatever OS you happen to be running. While I don't know enough to argue with someone who asserts that all of the file systems that Windows happens to support happen to be case insensitive, the converse is certainly not true. Unix certainly can run on case insensitive file systems. So I see two solutions: 1) -w should issue a warning if the lower case joined with underscores convention is violated 2) require should convert file names to canonical form. -- C++: The power, elegance and simplicity of a hand grenade.
