This is where the warning would be nice. To bounce a question off myself... In the example above, since you are relying on the search path for loading, how would it work? Basically, it would load the first one in the search path that it finds -- right? On a case-sensitive machine -- there would be no conflict and no problem: both modules loaded. On the case-insensitive machine, one of them would be loaded twice, with which one being dependant on the order of the search path. That seems to be what irb is telling me (for a linux simulation of two libs having the same name). Cameron
