From: Bob Calco Date: 2002-05-03T19:59:42+09:00 Subject: RE: New to Ruby's C API Chris: Some obvious questions: 1. Are you linking to the Ruby .lib file of the distribution you are compiling against (-ruby1x.lib), usually located in your /lib directory? 2. ruby.h is located in every distribution's /lib/ruby/1.x// directory. Does your compiler "know" this? (is that directory included in the compiler options)? Seems to me point 1 is the more likely problem. -Bob Calco % -----Original Message----- % From: Chris [mailto:chris@cmb-enterprises.com] % Sent: Thursday, May 02, 2002 8:32 PM % To: ruby-talk ML % Subject: New to Ruby's C API % % % I followed the examples in the online rubycentral.com/book % documentation, but I seem to have linker problems when I try to compile % it(Mac OS X/gcc 2.95.2). _main, _rb_cObject, and _rb_define_class % aren't defined. % % This makes me think the ruby.h header file isn't being included for some % reason. % % Is there anything I'm missing that should be painfully obvious? %
