From: Peter Hickman Date: 2002-05-03T19:50:44+09:00 Subject: IDs of the reference With the following code class Fred end a = Fred.new b = a puts a.id puts b.id both a and b return the same id (as expected). I realise that a and b both refer to the same object and thus have the same id, this is not a problem. What I would like is the id of the reference so that I can tell that ref a although pointing to the same object as ref b is not infact the same ref. Is this possible?
