Subject: [Ann] pdf-toolkit 1.0.0.rc1 released!

Hi Rubyists!

pdf-toolkit has just been released.

pdf-toolkit is an interface to the pdftk commandline tool, allowing to
read/write pdf metadata.

This version is an overal cleanup of the project and source code from
the original, (abandoned) 0.5.0 version by Tim Pope. The main
difference with the original version is that support for ActiveRecord
has been removed (implementation was ugly). As it might be an
important broken API (already announced, though), this is a prerelease
version instead of a proper 1.0.0. Please let me know if you still use
pdf-toolkit and use/would like support for ActiveRecord in the future.
Otherwise, I'll release 1.0 in a couple of days.
