you can ignore rio -- use any file io that will read and pass |line| to
the block

i.e.

File.open('haggis.txt').each_line{ |s|
  puts s
}

File.foreach('haggis.txt') { |s|
  puts s
}

IO.foreach("testfile") {|x| print "GOT ", x }
