Update: I have since installed ruby_core_source, but this didn't change
the error. I then tried installing the preview version of ruby-debug19x
(0.11.30), and got a rather different set of error messages:

This seems to imply that the problem (in the preview at least) lies with
the 'realpath' function, which appears to be in the Ruby source rather
than Ruby-Debug. Any thoughts?
