Dredging my memory, I recall from days of yore that the Ascii 
'bell' sound is 07H, i.e Ctrl-g

I've just checked the Ascii table in my dog-eared copy of 
'Starting Forth', and it is 07H, & => presumably Ctrl-g.

Sorry it took so long to respond - just catching up on the ruby-
backlog.
