I got Rinn working, sort of, with some very basic CORBA code. However, Rinn does not support IIOP (CORBA over TCP/IP), which is something I need. I started to add IIOP support myself, but soon realized that it wasn't worth my time. My solution, instead, is to write wrappers in C++ for all my CORBA calls, then wrap those CORBA calls using SWIG. It turns out this is somewhat tricky (for many reasons, but primarily because SWIG does not allow me to work with callbacks very gracefully). The advantage, though, is that I don't have to worry about incompatibilities between ORBs. I once had the idea that I could compile IDL into SWIG automatically. Then I could skip the C++ wrapper step. I didn't get very far, but I still think this would be possible. Paul
