Subject: CORBA on Ruby?

Does anyone have a handle on the state of things with respect to Ruby/CORBA
interaction? I'm just getting my feet wet (so to speak) with CORBA (using
omniORB and C++ clients) but would be interested in option(s) for writing
Ruby clients to talk to CORBA objects. All I see in the RAA is Rinn (which
I'm about to download and check out) but its last update was last July and I
have the feeling that means it's been abandoned.
