if (reply != 'yes' || reply != 'no')

What happens if you type 'yes' ?
Then reply != 'no' so this is true.

What happens if you type 'no' ?
Then reply != 'yes' so this is true.

What happens if you type 'foo' ?
Then reply != 'yes' so this is true.

Try if (reply != 'yes' && reply != 'no')
