sort is Array method:

def dictionary_sort arr

return arr if arr.length<=1

middle = arr.pop

less = arr.select{|x|  x.downcase<  middle.downcase}

more = arr.select{|x|  x.downcase>= middle.downcase}

less.sort + [middle] + more.sort

end
