the << operator in the default instructions is a redirect the
following input to the following output.
bash is the receiver.
Thus,
$ bash < <(curl -s https://rvm.beginrescueend.com/install/rvm)

from shell:
hey curl go grab  https://rvm.beginrescueend.com/install/rvm and be -s
(silent) about it.
Now all that stuff that curl just grabbed, go tell bash about it.

bash, get to work.
