I think that the other parts of the two implementations (fft vs. sft) 
are sufficiently different to be sure that both work correct.
(In fact, try to prove: that both functions (fft,sft) do the same. It is
far from trivial....)

The bug was in applying the scaling factor to the vector.
I have copied this line simply from one function to the other.
This is generally not a good idea for test codes...
