From: "R.Seymour" Date: 2002-04-20T00:49:15+09:00 Subject: String to method name I feel like I have a learning disability asking this, but what I am trying to do is this: badGuyType = "mutantMonkey" badGuyShow = "powerPuffGirls" badGuy = "Mojo Jojo" SenselessNames = Struct::new( :powerPuffGirls ) mutantMonkey = SenselessNames.new ------------- Now, what I want to do next is: mutantMonkey.powerPuffGirls = "Mojo Jojo" but by referencing (that's what it is in perl right?) badGuyType, badGuyShow and badGuy. Is there a way to do it? Should I be using Object#call or something? Am I too clueless to be within fifteen feet of a programming language as nice as Ruby? :) Thanks, Rich
