From: ptkwt@...1.aracnet.com (Phil Tomson) Date: 2002-04-19T02:47:18+09:00 Subject: recursive require warning... I ran into a problem with a Ruby script on Windows due to the fact that Windows filenames are case insensitive. I had a file called slave.rb that requires another file that in turn required a file called Slave.rb in a different directory. But, what happened is that it ended up requiring the slave.rb file itself. To make the example simpler: #slave.rb $: << "../.." #Slave.rb exists two directories up require 'Slave' .... This all works on Linux, but under Windows the file 'Slave.rb' never gets require'd. Is it possible that we could have some sort of warning message when this happens, something like: "Warning: recursive require slave.rb line 3" Phil
