You know, if you alias ruby to 'r' you could remove three characters. ;-) Guys, I kept the examples in the article simple so that; 1) the article would be short, and 2) I wouldn't have to explain what the example was doing since 'cat' is generally easy to understand. Next time, I think I will use a Fast Fourier Transform algorithm as the example just to really bake your noodle. Try golfing with that! (Without a call to a library function.) ;-)
