Can this be resolved with some sort of #IFNDEF pragma? IIRC from messing around with this at some point, not only are the fs structs different across different platforms, but you may not be able to get all the info you'd want from the struct itself, having to resort to getmntent() on some platforms. I recommend figuring out the kind of info you want to report on FSs, then writing a higher level API (filesys_get_name, filesys_get_type, etc) and then adding support for platforms somewhere under that, probably with icky #ifdefs at some point. I'll be glad to help out on this and test it out on the platforms I have (IRIX, FreeBSD, Linux, Solaris)...I may even be able to test on AIX (yikes!). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | Jim Hranicky, Senior SysAdmin UF/CISE Department | | E314D CSE Building Phone (352) 392-1499 | | jfh@cise.ufl.edu http://www.cise.ufl.edu/~jfh | ----------------------------------------------------------------------
