Important to note that this differs from 1.8:

RUBY_VERSION #=> 1.9.2
a = 1; [2].each { |a| p a }; a              #=> 2; 1

RUBY_VERSION #=> 1.8.7
a = 1; [2].each { |a| p a }; a              #=> 2; 2
